A little side note here, one of my three spouses, Eldenath, is of both French and Navajo heritage. Because so much of the Dine culture has been destroyed by fire and bullet by rather violent Christians intent on saving the Navajo collective soul, she had to learn from me about the existence of the Nadle in the cultural heritage of half of her own background!  My own genetic ancestry includes 1/16 Sioux, so perhaps I count as a Winkte, at least a little.
