Your
Author and Hostess
Salutations! I am the creator of this site, and I welcome you warmly to it. It is reasonable for you to want to know a little about the author of the information provided here, so I am happy to comply.
As of 2000, I am 40 years old, and I am many things. I am an artist, a game designer, a creator and co-creator of web sites, a hetaera, and I am also a post operative transsexual woman.
I had my surgery some 18 years ago, at the age of 22. Since that time I have lived happily, and rather successfully, with my polyamoric family. My three spouses are Sandra, Eldenath, and Stephen. We have all been together for about 14 years, though I was with Sandra right from shortly before my surgery. Eldenath joined a year later, and then Stephen after that. Stephen is my oldest friend, from High School in fact. Together we are a polyamory, or "Group Marriage", and are very stable and good to each other. My family is the greatest treasure of my life.
I would not have a life if it were not for having been able to go through Transition, for I would certainly have taken my own life had I been forced to exist in the wrong physical sex. The horror and agony that can characterize transsexualism sometimes haunts me to this day, and is the motivation for the creation of this site: I do not want others to suffer as I did, or to die, as I nearly did.
Another reason for my doing this project has to do with my age; upon turning 38, the profound depth of my paralyzing inner shame and embarrassment about being a transsexual truly struck me. By coming out about this last thing, I finally liberate myself from my greatest secret. When there are no secrets, there is no need to cower in fear of discovery. It was nothing for me to be public about being a lesbian-oriented bisexual, and simple joy to be open about being part of a successful polyamory. Yet, I have lived my entire life psychologically crippled by the shame of the very thought of anyone discovering my transsexuality. No longer. The best way to destroy embarrassment, is to have nothing one needs to hide. I am finally facing the vile bigot inside my own head that lives to condemn myself. This work is a gift of freedom to myself.
In
the death of secrets,
perishes
also, the dread
terror
of denouement
You would be remiss not to question my biases and my agenda. I am quite willing to tell you; I care nothing for the politics of gender, nor the politics of sexuality, nor politics at all. Indeed I am reviled by such, gender issues are about survival and identity, and it is despicable to use the agony of anyone as a basis for petty power games. Understandably, then, I have no love of organized religion whatsoever, and wish to convert the reader to only one thing: that they should be free to be themselves their own way, and never to give in to bigotry, condemnation, or the limitations of any one belief system. I care nothing for "political correctness", or any ideology, and my words are absolutely my own, alone. Whatever you may think of what I have to say, you can be sure it is the product of my own consideration, and not the act of a parrot.
I also can only really speak in any depth, of my male-to-female experience of transsexuality, and this is a limitation on the information presented in this site. I would welcome contribution from those suffering the opposite arrow of gender dysphoria, so as to round out the information in this site!
I demand that the reader choose to think and act independently, with will and determination. I do demand that you think for yourself, without the crutch of any established, predigested beliefs or wisdom. I belong to no group and no society other than my own, and my agenda is the survival and success of the gender dysphoric.
As to my education, I have had some college (I once was a biochemisty major) and much career, most of the latter in the computer games arena. I study everything that interests me, and consider the end of learning tantamount to annihilation.
I identify as bisexual, leaning toward lesbian, though in general I am pretty much asexual. I am an Eternal Child, and my greatest joy comes from innocent wonder. I have no morals whatsoever, but I do abide a rather rigid code of carefully chosen ethics. At heart I am a classic Romanticist, and as far as I am concerned, Quixote should never have given up, ever.
My very most favoritest things include Games, Anime, Science Fiction and collecting anime related toys and dolls. I adore the cute and the kindly, and am drawn to bright colors and clever ideas. The greatest single value in my life is the honor of True Friendship, an Ideal for which I am willing to live for.
I
have to live with myself and so,
I
have to be fit for myself to know.
If you want more background and career information about me, you may visit my more specific biographical page on another of my, in this case, collaborative sites, the anime haven I created known as OTAKUWORLD.
I dearly hope that you find benefit from my efforts on this site.
