    "Ma
     Vie en Rose"   Belgium, 1997

This utterly charming, heartfelt and sweet story of an 8 year old girl, trapped in the body of a boy, is simply not to be missed. It is easily the most positive and uplifting transsexual story ever filmed, and is great fun, as well as bittersweet magic, in every way. This is the childhood that I wish that I had had the courage to have lived, utterly oblivious to transsexual shame. Rich and balanced in perspective, yet lovingly sympathetic, I cannot recommend it to you enough. Miss it and you have lost a true wonderment!
Currently in release, by Sony Classic Pictures, look for it !
